As part of the Balanced Breakfast L.A. Artist Showcase at Hotel Cafe recently, D. Edward got the night started with high-energy and rousing set of original material. The songs included uptempo melodic numbers with catchy hooks from his first solo album, "Little Red Box" and Edward's latest release, "Love Is."
The set drew inspiration from genres of old school, R&B/funk, soup, pop and Latin rhythms. D. Edward is a talented singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from California. His accomplished backing group include Leah Tysse and Jewels Jaselle on vocals; drummer Deacon Marrquin, Ariane Cap on bass and Yuko Tamura on keyboards. D. Edward also played keyboards enhancing the arrangements with colorful textures as well as pouncing out some sizzling grooves during an exciting conga solo. D. Edward is an engaging, confident and likable frontman that interacted easily with his enthusiastic, attentive audience. A seasoned professional, D. Edward has a lot of passion and drive when it comes to his craft. He delivered a memorable live concert experience his fans wouldn't soon forget.
